Daniel was a slave in the land of Babylon.
.
Despite the strange environment, he stood out, was different, and chose not to mingle with or join others in their worship, culture, and traditions. A saying goes: “If you can’t beat them, join them”. But we can choose to be different in a society that is evil.
.
Here are seven characteristics you should learn found in the life of Daniel. He was:
.
1. Faultless: The fellow princes found faults against him just to pull him down, but they found none. Be faultless.
.
2. God-fearing: He did everything according to God’s leading.
.
3. He was faithful: Despite his stay in the strange land, he was faithful.
.
4. He was open: The prince used his prayerful lifestyle against him, but he never stopped, he continued.
.
5. He was diligent.
.
6. He was prayerful
.
7. The Spirit of the Lord was upon him. Throughout his stay in Babylon, he did not let God out of the picture.
.
As you go through life’s journey, at work, in school, in the office, as an apprentice, or as a boss, be faithful, be true, and be God-fearing. Let God take the lead then you follow.
Don’t run ahead of God. Daniel always said his prayers thrice a day. Make praying every day a life style, like the food you eat, like the business or daily activities you embark on. It will help you as you live your life to the fullest and God’s excellent Spirit will be upon you.
Don’t let God out of the picture.
